I think the main argument is that it spreads disease. That isn't true when prostitution is practiced in a regulated environment (such as brothels in NV). I personally find it ridiculous as well. There's no law that says I can't go have sex with every single person on my block, male or female but if I charge THEN it's a crime????
Promiscuous people are everywhere and never being tested for AIDS or other STDs. When prostitution is legal and regulated, prostitutes are tested super-frequently and are very very careful

It is not illegal in the entire USA. Nevada has legalized prostitution.
The difference it makes is in the parts of the state that it is legal, there are no slimy dimebag hos hanging on the street corners---which I personally appreciate.
Here's to legal prostitution!!!

It should make a difference only to the person that is selling her body-if that is what they want to do why not-as long as she don't get a disease and pass it on to someone else.all of the higher up buy every day-they should make it legal.

Because the governement says so. Personally, if someone wants to sell a piece more power to them. It's their body so it's really no one elses business.

I don't know, sex is legal and selling is legal so why isn't selling sex legal? I can go out with a guy and if he buys me dinner and a movie I can have sex with him but if he hands me $40 I can't. How stupid is that?
