Brother ! Muslims can have second wife without the permission of first wife if this clause is not mentioned in marital agreement (Nikah Nama). If the wife puts this clause in Nikah Nama that husband cant marry the second without her permission then taking permission is compulsory ..
For example most of the Muslims dont know that a woman can also give divorce (talaq) in Islam (as men) if she mentions it in Nikah Nama ...
i would agree to an answer above that one cant do justice with 4 wives ..thats what Quran says ...
"marry of the women, who seem good to you, two or three or four; and if ye fear that ye cannot do justice (to so many) then marry one (only)"
[AlQuran 4:3]

Must have agreement of first wife. I told my husband from the beginning there would be no other.
The only way around this is if for some reason your wife can not have children.
You can not have a second third or fourth wife unless you can treat them equally in all ways (materially as well as in your heart) and Allah says that you can not treat them equally in all ways you can not have another wife.

It has been said that the 911 highjackers were motivated, at least in part, by a believe that if they martyred themselves that when the got to heaven they would be given 72 virgins to enjoy.
That is all the proof I need to know that they are spending the rest of eternity in hell. Because after the first night, they will then have to spend forever with 72 wives. If that is not hell.....

It is in the Koran, a muslin man can have up to four wives, and non of the wives have a say in it. Also, he can have sexual relationships with his female slaves (they call it "women that your right hand possesses"). There is also "motaa" marriage, which is a temporary arrangement between a man and a women for sex (sounds like prostituiton to me!).

Prophet Mohammad (PBOH )permitted polygamy to protect destitute women, widows of jeehadis (faith fighters)and wronged women. He enjoined them (men )to give equal love and care to all the wives.
Shah je Haan built Taj mahal when Mumtaj died. He did not marry again.

you cant just marry 4 woman unlease you have the money to feed them all equaly and treat them all equaly but if you cant that way allah said one is enough.
by the way atleast you have to respect your other wife and tell her it's not something easy.
