The problem is, is i love junk food and i'm only 14 so its not like i can go to a gym or work out. I cant think of much ways to keep myself skinny. im 5'6 and nice and skinny now, but im afraid i'll get fatter and will totally lose my modeling career! can someone please tell me how i can make sure keep the excess weight off?!

Since you're only 14, you shouldn't be focusing too much on serious dieting because your body is still growing. I know that junk food can be really tempting (I know because I love junk food too) but sometimes we have to decide what things are more important to us. In your case, you'll have to decide what's more important - keeping your modeling career or eating junk food. You say that you can't go work out at the gym, but that doesn't mean you can't exercise. If you are thin now, the best way for you to stay that way is to eat in moderation and to stay active. You can try walking, jogging, simple situps or pushups, or even buying a yoga dvd and doing yoga 3 times a week. Do anything you can to keep yourself active and try to limit yourself on how much junk food you allow yourself to eat in a day. Also, if you drink soda, stop now. Soda will definitely make you gain weight and just stopping your soda intake might make you lose a couple of pounds. Last, but not least, try not to stress so much about your weight. The more you stress about it, the harder you're making it for your mind and your body. Good luck.

No you wont. It's better to start with a healthy diet (esp with 6 small meals). If you go on a liquid diet your body begins to starve for nutrients. When you finally introduce them back into your diet your body will absorb every ounce of protein and fat from the food. You are likely to put the weight on very fast. If you are looking for more drastic weight loss you can eat small meals and drink lots of water to fool your body into thinking it's full. The whole eating small meals thing actually boosts your metabolism so you use the food faster.

Don't worry too much - thats a biggy. But always be aware.
With the junk food...I dunno; right now since you're quite young, your metabolism will pretty much keep things in check, but be careful. Sounds like your family may have weight issues? if so, extra caution may be needed. If you have diabetes in your family, I strongly suggest cutting back on the junk food. Actually, I strongly suggest doing that anyways. If you much have it though, try picking a few that you will be allowed to eat, and try to avoid the rest - like for me, I don't eat anything with hydrogenated ingredients (hydrogenated/hydrolyzed/mono glycerides/di glycerides) because they are quite harmful to you. If you eat junk food, stick to the stuff that slightly healthier; low/no trans fat, lower sugar. I used to eat chips and candies all the time, then when I gained far too much, I took them out of my diet, lost weight, and actually began to find natural foods far far more satesfying and held more of what I was craving. When you crave foods, its not usually the food you are craving, but an ingredient in the food because your body is short supply of it (though that doesn't mean you can go an binge on somenthing LOL).

The only way to succesfully keep a healthy weight, is to eat right, and exercise. If you're wanting to lose weight, you have to make sure you are consuming less fats and calories then you are burning in the day - that way your body turns to the stores of fat you have. Probably cutting back on carbs before exercising is good, since your body will burn those first instead of any fat stores.

Don't listen to what the corporations are brainwashing you to eat, listen to your body. (don't believe me about the companies...a good experiment for you to try; it might change your mind: when your watching tv, take notice at how often you feel hungry, now think for a minute - do you always feel hungry when watching tv? and when you get something to eat, do you feel full or hungry again?; and when you eat something that you've seen constantly advertised, do you crave more?)

Moderation. And listen to your body; its telling you most of what you need to know.

Hope that was of some help at least.
Good luck kiddo. Don't worry too much about it - the more you worry, the higher the chance you turn to food (especially if you're a comfort eater)

:)

Well first of all dont over do it. Make sure you're at a healthy weight b/c anerexic models are uglier than overwieght ones. I would suggest eating healthy (that means good carbs like whole wheat breads - not no carbs), running, yoga (you can order work out videos online), mild weight training and staying healthy in general. But be careful, skinny doesnt always mean healthy.

First of all, don't worry so much. You're 14- you shouldn't be dieting at this age unless you have a serious weight problem.

Second, make good food choices- quit eatting the junk food. Also, eat reasonable portions at meals.

Third, stay physically active. I used to run long distance when I was 14 and it kept me really thin. Plus, it was fun.

Generally you gain weight because of fats deposits, just dissolve them. How?

People go for losing weight by pills or starving.

Pills do not act effectively and for longer durations. Pills have many side effects for your health.

Starving weakens you and your defense system is also weakened. This makes you less resistant against infactions and other diseases.

The best way is to lose weight by change of diet and your physical activities.

1. Reduce or stop to take oils and fats.
2. Stop taking sugar and glucose. (Mainly tea, coffee & cold drinks.
3. Stop taking potato, rice.
4. Reduce wheat and corn as much as possible.

Take vegitables, boiled meat, fruits (even sweet).

And at the top of all:

Play physical games at least 40 to 60 minutes twice a day.

You will start losing weight to the extent of daily difference.

if you're 14, you're probably in school. So that means you probably have a PE class. So you probably do have somewhere to go work out quite frequently. replace your junk food with fresh fruit and vegetables. eat whole grain foods with fiber in it. don't call it a diet. don't diet at all. diet = weight GAIN. seriously. and the very best way to make sure you keep excess weight off is to stop worrying about it. threaten to sue anyone who tries to tell you that you have to lose weight to keep your modeling career. because that is total bs. truly.

Hi. It doesn't matter if you are 14..................u TOTALLY can exercise.........it will make your metabolism faster, and help you to not gain weight. If you keep it up, you can keep the weight off forever. You don't need to go to a gym. You just need 30- 45 mins a day. ( they say 3 times a week, but you really need it once a day to get good results ). You can turn up ur fav music wicked loud and dance ..........it's an awesome work-out.......... or you can buy exercise tapes or DVD's..... ( cheap $$ )....... and work out in front of the TV. And it sounds lame,,, but walking totally helps.

You don't need to go to the gym for a work out, you could just like take a jog everyday. If you want to stay thin and fit then try eating healthy rather than eating junk food. Also burn more calories than you intake. Please don't try bulimia or anorexia or substance abuse, because it's really not worth risking your health for modeling.
