I am sure some will differ, but I believe in some cases it's hard to tell the difference...because some will stay together not because of potential, but history they might have and because they are afraid of starting over.

love is healthy, nurturing & heals. attachment is a perversion of caring that is based on insecurities.
one makes your life better. the other is a source of problems.

I've often thought about this same thing. Sometimes it is easier to stay with someone just for the security of having someone. I don't really think that I can define what the difference is between attachment and love, that's a tough one.
