Just go with your parents and test drive all three. You can't go wrong with any of them. Pick out the vehicle that fits you best and the one you like best. Never read Consumers Reports, they are biased and don't know anything about a real car.

I have a Ford Focus Wagon. I like it very well. But not as well as I liked the Ford Escort. Those were my favorite cars of all time. There is only one thing I do not like about it. The darned electric windows. With the ignition off they will not go up or down. What is wrong with a hand crank? It has good room and gets decent though not great gas mileage, about 35 on the hiway. About 25 around town. This is the 5th Ford I have owned. All have given excellent service. I also owned two Toyotas. The Fords are much better.

My advice - forget the new car thing unless you are wealthy.

Buy a 2 or 3 year old certified used car from a dealer. You'll save money and be just as happy. They come with factory warranties too.

First, read Consumer's Reports and see what cars have great repair records and make a list. Also see Kelley Blue Book to get prices. This link has great car-buying advice also: http://www.kbb.com/kb/ki.dll/ke.kb.sp?kbb;;TX029;&78213&&advice;slp&

When you find a car you like insist on a CARFAX Vehicle History Report.

Good Luck

In all fairness all these are good car,s ,,but if you decide which car to buy because someone put,s down another brand of car on here,,you may never be satisfied with the actual car you buy,,instead why don't you look at all the car,s and decide which one suit,s your need,s more,,i like all the choice,s you have made,,but then my opinion,,should,nt be what you buy a car on,,because you could get a lemon,,the point I'm trying to make is,,find the car you like,,drive it,,kick the tire,s,,ask question,s about it,,and listen real care-full to the answer,s,,then decide,,hope this help,s you decide,,for your self.

Well, if you are looking for a Dodge, I'm about to start this coming Monday as a car salesman.
If you stay in Mississippi, I'll like you to come to Wilson Autoplex and ask for me.

The Jeep Compass is just like the Caliber, only MUCH better looking. http://www.jeep.com/en/compass/index.html

I live Volkswagens, so a new Rabbit or a GTI would be awesome. http://www.vw.com/rabbit/rabbitcompare.html?ic_id=promo_rabbit2006

But it looks like you plan on sticking with domestic brands -- Ford owns Mazda, and all they're new models are really nice and the people I've spoken to love them! http://www.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/displayPage.action?pageParameter=modelsMain&vehicleCode=M3H

You should look into purchasing a Toyota or Honda....both cars are good some of them are cheap and will last a long time....I have a '97 civic. . . and it still is in perfect condition...
