You shouldn't have any permanent damage. I'm a nurse and I have never had a patient admitted with damaged arms or any other muscles that have been vaccinated. The pain will go away. Don't be scared...

Hi there

I had a tetnus shot back in April, my cat bit my hand accidently while playing with a feather toy. Those little suckers hurt! I thought something was wrong and I was allergic to it or something cause it made this huge egg lump on my arm and it was hot and cold and it lasted about 5 days but it's back to normal now. At the time I called the ER and the woman said sometimes you run a fever, you can have a huge lump that it's the ingredients in the shot that dispurse, and it can feel hot and cold in the arm and hurt for up to a week, that's normal. She told me to take anti-inflammatories like ibuprofen, ice my lump at the injection site, and also moist heat on the arm after the 2nd day. You'll be fine in another day or two and you're arm will be back to normal.

No. Shots only hurt for a short time, possibly leaving a bruise which will heal within 7-10 days and that is it.

Tetanus shots usually do hurt for a few days, but don't do any permanent damage.

Stop worrying unless you do years and years of drugs I wouldn't worry about it. If it hurts put some ice on it and take some asprin for the pain.. Your arm is not damaged you will be fine.
