(girls) would a kiss on the cheek be as good to get the "spark"?

Question

if you seen some of my old questions you would see that i am in love with my best friend. when i was hanging out with her today i actually got up the nerve to kiss her. i kissed her hand, later kisses her arm and right befor she left i got the nerve to kiss her on her cheek. she smiled so i hope something is starting to happen.

well my question is could she get that "spark" feeling from a kiss on the cheek? or does it only work with kisses on the lips? (i don't think i can get the nerve to kiss her lips yet)

i talked to he a lot about my feelings so she did know that i really like her before i kissed her.

i'm a guy and she is a girl. just had to clear it up for one question.

no, i didn't get any kisses from her yet.

i guess i should have added. we have been best friends for about 5 years now. and i'm 21, she is 20. not sure if it makes a difference to the answers but the more info the better i think.

Hehe. If there is anything there at all between you guys. She will feel it. Just got for the kiss. If she hasn't stopped you then she may be just as into you as you are to her. She'll stop you if you've gone too far. Take chances. Just be careful not to hurt a good friendship by something that was never meant to be.

Sometimes you'll wonder how come you have to climb mountains to get to her and all she has to do is get to you with a smile.

it depends on if she likes you. if she likes you, yes she can get a spark from a kiss on the cheek. personally the kiss on the arm and hand would have done it more for me. although quite honestly i think you deserve a girl who will be with you right away and not play games with you. she's your best friend and she acts that way? personally i would have told you how i felt, and if i liked you i'd be dating you.

You know what you should do? You should tell her that you like her. Write her a note if you have to: "This is kind of awkward, I know, but I think you're an incredible person and would love to take you out on a date sometime." That way you don't have to wait for a yes, and if she ends up not wanting to date you, you'll know earlier that you get to stay best friends. sometimes: a kiss on the cheek means that a man is polite, that he doesn't just want to make out. you may not get the "spark", but she will tell all of her friends and they would think it was romantic.

if you're gonna kiss her on the cheek, look her in the eyes for a couple seconds after so she knows it wasn't just a friendly kiss. plus, if she's interested then that'll make her want to kiss you on the lips more.

that depends on how she feels about you...if she feels the same way about you as you do about her, then even a brush of your hand on her arm would create sparks between you.
A sweet kiss on the cheek shows you really care and you care of her feelings...that's the nice way to go.
