I think God made mankind different from other creatures because he wants to test us. He gave us a powerful brain and the ability to speak. He did not put us here only to eat and live and die. He wants us to discover HIM. So he shows himself to us in everywhich way possible. Like in the beauty of a beautiful sunsut, the Stars in the sky, the beauty of a flower, the soothing song of a bird, the birth of every creature, the precision and perfection of it all. Its all here for us to see and understand the true nature of us and God. God is within us. So we should always remember him and be grateful for what he bestows on us, and be humble and kind and helpful to other creatures and humans alike. Live a life of selfrespect and respect all living creatures. They all have equal right here on Earth. So we should not destroy their environment, and be selfish and cruel to serve our own ever increasing needs. It is for the sensible to realize this and to behave in an enlightened manner. One does not have to abandon the World to discover why we are here. It is in doing our duty here honoroubly and fairly that matters. It will give us peace and compassion towards all. And I think ,it is no mean achievement if one can find happiness and peace in ones' lifetime.
If you have got peace, you've Won the battle of life!
I hope I make sense to you.

d This question is almost as old as mankind itself (not quite, this must have been asked by the first human with a philosophical bent!). Personally, I believe we are here by pure chance and with no particular purpose in the mind of any deity. Probably, there are hundreds of millions (or billions! or other intelligent (?) life forms in this universe asking the same question and probably reaching the same answer I suggest!

The folks that pilot those UFO's ( are actually ) our decendants. They liked it here & decided to stay ! That is why we are only capable of using only 10% of our brains due to the atmospheric changes from "moving " to this environment ! They were the ones who were capable of building the pyrimids til the brains didn't work as well as they did on the home planet & the technology went south !

I believe we are here as part of a plan. God provided this life as an opportunity to learn and grow. We are here to make the right choices in very difficult situations. To learn to treat each other as brothers and sisters and not strangers forced to share space. Our Heavenly Father knows what choices will help us be happy just like any parent knows what will bring grief and what will bring joy to their children. In short, we are here to learn to do those things that will help us be happy and successful as we continue in our eternal progression.

There is no why. Same 'reason' as flies, worms, and T Rex. To eat, crap, and screw.
