I have a really unrealistic solution, but quit having sex. This will eliminate the disease.

The possibility for a cure is likely. But to wipe it out very unlikely. Until the governments of all the countries around the world are responsible for the medical care of their citizens there will be nothing done for HIV AIDS or Cancer. There are to many people getting rich off the the health problems of the citizens of the world. I say the world because the world is who is affected by this. The doctor make money when we are sick. the pharmacy make money to get us better with the drug companies producing thousands of new medications every year. The government is making money of the imported medications from other countries.
This is also a way of population control I believe. There has to be a decrease in population that balances out with the increase.
Forever there has been sickness and disasters that keep this system balanced. However now humans are using science to prevent a lot of the natural population decreasers from occurring.
I wish there was a way. I have never seen anything more sad as watching someone died from AIDS or cancer.

Test everyone on earth, throw them in quarantine. (I hate to say it but even stamping everyone who has on the forehead still wouldn't stop some people from spreading)

Education and control. I doubt if it will ever happen because they are predominantly sexually transmitted diseases.
