i went to WW for a year and lost about 50 lbs. then i quit going to the meetings and tried to follow through on my own but ended up putting it all back on quickly. My advice is to go to the weigh ins and meetings every week. ithey help to keep you on track.

I follow my weight watchers without paying by continuing to watch my food intake. If you were on the points system just remember how many points you were allowed a day and write down what you eat. It is a pretty close calculation to say that every 50 calories is a point. Try this website below too. It is a plan that derived from WW.http://groups.msn.com/POINTingMyWaytoaNewLife/newbies.msnw

Well , if you are going to use the points systems, you need the books and all. So join, they have specials, just ask. But prob, go to any website that helps you determing the calories you need to lose and go by calories instead. Biggest help would be to use a food journal and write down EVERYTHING. Aim for a particular calorie per day goal. Watch your sweets and fats. Drink plenty of water. I was a member and lost 10 lbs, I have the info, but It just seems that when I was paying, and getting on those scales, the incentive was better. (been maintaining, not losing since)
