I just call it cream punch. You pour 1 64oz Hawaiian Punch and a 2 liter bottle of ginger ale (or 7up) in punch bowl then scoop in 1/2 gallon of vanilla ice cream or raspberry or orange sherbet garnish with fresh strawberries or raspberries.Makes 24 1/2cup servings.

FRIST THING IS TO POUR YOUR SODA AS MUCH AS YOU WANT BUT NOT ALL THE WAY CAUSE THE ICE CREAM WILL MELT(THE SODA HAS TO BE HOT NOT CHILLED) ADD THE ICECREAM, THEN TO SERVE CHIILED. ADD ICE, TAKE A SPOON AND POOR THE SODA OVER THE ICE CREAM AND THERE YOU HAVE IT A FOAMY YUMMY PUNCH...YOU CAN ADD DIET SODA BUT I DONT LIKE IT THAT WAY

7-up and Ice Cream is called a "Soda Float."
Coke and Ice Cream is called a "Black Cow."
Root Beer and Ice Cream is called a "Root Beer Float."

Just one big scoope of your favorite or your choice of ice cream on top of 7-up. Or pour the 7-up on the ice cream.

It's just as you said- 7-up and sherbet. You can also modify the flavors if you'd like- vanilla ice cream and root beer or any other mixture you would like.
