People who think they are virtuous because they hate Christians are not only closed-minded but they are also breaking the law -in the USA anyway, which was populated by millions of people seeking religious freedom. Everyone has the right to practice what they believe as long as it doesn't hurt anyone and is not against the law. I wonder if there is a term for people who have a phobia against Christians?

Because Christians are insane and deserve to be hated. I have, over the years, supported the Christian Appalachian Project which was founded as a response to poor conditions of White people in that region. Then I leaned that some of their donation money was going to "help" inner city blacks from "Jew York City". I always suspected that day would come, but hoped it wouldn't. Insane Christians just cannot help but assist their enemies.

I think that every religious group has it's critics. ( maybe even haters) but what you're probably talking about is people making fun of the far right christians . They're easy to make fun of because their beliefs are so far out of wack from the "normal" middle of the road American way of thinking.
Don't forget people hate Muslims and shiites, Buddists and Jews too. That's just as WRONG as hating christians!

It does seem to be popular these days, doesn't it? It may have to do with all the media attention to the [Moral Majority] what ever they are!!??!!? I don't believe their the majority of anything other then hate mongering. If you met a real Christian, the only way you would even know, is by the kindness they would show you.

i don't know about "virtue" but people hate (probably too strong of a word --- "maybe") Christians simply because they're ignorant.
Jesus told us in the NT that people will hate his followers because of him, and he also said it this way:
"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me." Matthew 5:11...
so whether these people realize it, they're prejudice/ignorant/condescending/insulting remarks are only proving more and more that the Bible is truth.
Thanks again (unbelieving) people - For proving God to be right "yet again!"

Ignorant jerks isn't a very loving or christian term either.
We don't hate you, we hate your superior attitude and the fact that you refuse to see things logically
Bobby c Leave your persecution complex at the door. If you n't do that, seek help

We have been hated for centuries. Jesus said so himself, they hate me, they are going to hate you. There is no virtue in hating just misunderstanding. I don't hate those who say christianity is garbage. I have a mind of my own, I choose to believe what I want to believe, I have a BS in Biology and an AS in Allied health.
Am I qualified as a thinker? Yes. Am I qualified to believe in Jesus? Yes. Do I have a soul? Yes. Should I be able to say where I want my soul to go? Absolutely. So hate me if they must, that makes me stronger. They hate my Lord, and that makes me more like him.

Some people just love to "hate" others who are different regardless if they are Christian, Jewish, black, white, Asian, etc. The only way to stop that hate is to absorb it into love. When hate is returned with hate, it multiplies. In the words of the now deceased Bishop Fulton Sheen, we can only stop hate when we absorb it into Love......Profound truth.
