You can definately ask him to be your boyfriend. He has shown that he has interest in you so why not? It's not always the guys job to ask the girl. Thats so overrated and out of date.

Yes, Marie, you can ask him to go steady with you. He obviously likes you, so chances are excellent that he will say yes.
Edit: After he says yes, ask him what going steady means to him. You could ask on this forum what going steady means, and every answer will be different. So find out what he thinks, and share what you think with him.
