Why is it a doorknob that you have to say?

Exactly what she said. If you don't yell safety when you fart, someone who knows the game gets to punch the hell out of you if they say doorknob first... until you come across a doorknob and touch it.

When you fart you have to say "safety". If you dont, some one who knows the rules to this game yells "doorknob" when they hear or smell your fart and they hit you until you touch a doorknob.
