I have one big problem with your statement. Exactly how many Jews have tried to convert you? Jews have no inclination, and quite to the contrary according to Judaism there is no reason for you to convert. All people are judged on our actions not what faith we espouse. So from a Jewish perspective the only thing that truly matters is if you live a Just life or not.
Anyone who claimed to be Jewish and tried to convert you had no concept of what Judaism is.

I understand your point as I don't like being pressured , & that part I don't agree with, but I believe people that are genuinely concerned about you will pray for you & try to win you over through Gods love. I am a christian & I know how you feel about being pressured, I don't like that either but I think it may help if you see it from their prespective. Think of it like this...If you honestly believed someone you cared about was going down a path of destruction, say for instance on drugs...wouldn't you try your best to save them from that?...spare them from the hurt & pain?...well that is what these people are doing by trying to help you. I once heard the following from a christian to an atheist,: If you are right & I am wrong, I have nothing to lose , but if I am right & you are wrong, you have everything to lose. I hope you can now maybe understand a little more clearly why they do what they do.

It is their humanness. The Christians have a simple commission "to go and make disciples of all nations" Most forget to follow St. Augustine's advise "Preach the Gospel (Good News of forgiveness, love and salvation through Christ) at all time and only when necessary use words. St. Aug. meat that we should make disciple by living out our faith in visible action. I.e. being a witness to the goodness of God. When people see this they will ask and then you can use words and share. If they do not ask, keep your mouth shut and let God do God's work in them first.

its very simple .like an alcoholic wants every one else to drink as well
those who have succumbed to the psychological drug called religion .also want everyone else to be part of it.
mainly to make them feel better that they could be doing the right thing
and religion is in fact no more than a continuous brainwashing process,to keep people in the dark and stop them from discovering the truths behind the whole collective organized religion complex
and to make them open to manipulation and control.
this process is far bigger than people realize
,the same people that are at the controls of organized religion are of the same families and bloodlines as the people who are the chiefs of almost all mayor media, such as television ,newspapers ,magazines ,including Hollywood
the world has been led by the nose for centuries ,
and by the same people ,
religion is only a part of it

I am with you brother.... believe what the heck you want..just leave me alone. Atheists are smarter then religious nuts because they see foolishness and reject it. I am actually a Buddhist but I have alot of respect for Atheists. Keep thinking and be free from the evils of religion(I mean religions that try to control).

I understand your anger over this (I feel this too, even though I am not an atheist, but instead an agnostic), but you really shouldn't overgeneralize and accuse all religious people of these acts. It makes you look bad. I would just tell the bad ones to mind their own business and focus on saving their own souls if they are so concerned with it.

The same reason they try to convert me and make me straight, something I cannot be. I believe in God, but my best friend is agnostic. We have been best friends for 7 years, and I don't force my beliefs or arguments on her, why should I? She's entitled to what she wants to believe. Afterall, man made religion, man wrote the bible. Who's to say we aren't ALL wrong?

Actually Jews are different.
I'm told that Jews are not supposed to proselytize.
For Christians and Moslems, it's generally considered a part of their religion to try to save people.
Just ******* get over it.

Three words: will - to - power.
"[A] parasitical type of man, thriving only at the expense of all healthy forms of life, the *priest*, uses the name of God in vain: he calls a state of affairs in which the priest determines the value of things "the kingdom of God"; he calls the means by which such a state is attained or maintained "the will of God"; with cold-blooded cynicism he measures peoples, ages, individuals, according to whether they profited or resisted the overlordship of the priests. [...] With severity and pedantry, the priest formulated once and for all, down to the large and small taxes he was to be paid (- not to forget the tastiest pieces of meat: for the priest is a steak eater), *what he wants to have*, "what the will of God is"... From now on all things in life are so ordered that the priest is *indispensable* - marriage, sickness, death, not to speak of sacrifices ("meals"), the holy parasite appears in order to *denature* them: in his language: to "consecrate"... [...] The priest devalues, *desecrates* nature: this is the price of his existence. - Disobedience of God, that is, of the priest, of "the Law," is now called "sin"; the means for "reconciliation with God" are, as is meet, means that merely guarantee still more thorough submission to the priest: the priest alone "redeems"... Psychologically considered, "sins" become indispensable in any society organized by priests: they are the real handles of power, the priest *lives* on sins, it is essential for him that people "sin." Supreme principle: "God forgives those who repent" - in plain language: *those who submit to the priest*."
