visit a store with African American hair care products...You may find that they do a lot better job on your hair type than the stuff you find in the commercial stores. The store clerk will help you with what products work best with your hair...This stuff goes way beyond shampoos and conditioners. You can get some serious moisturizers and hair cremes that will work wonders..As well as styling products that really work..and don't forget to ask for the nearest hair salon. They wont give you the local sears salon you will get people experienced with your type of hair.

It sounded like you described my hair...
I use Paul Mitchell products and if I were you I'd get a small bottle of the detangler..
to try it out. I will NOT use any otehr conditioner on my hair, you need half as much of that as you do of store bought products,,,

also make up a squirt bottle of plain tap water ..put a few drops of the detangler in there...shake it up and spray that on...

GOOD Luck & I know what you mean !!!

Infusiam 23. Works really well. And of course you know brush it once while wet with (23) and style. Try that. It took me forever to realize how to take care of my curly hair.

have you tried using a leave-on. i am not sure if you can look for it in regular department stores or groceries but it works effectively. Or you could use virgin coconut oil you could browse it or ask the pharmacy about it, it smells pretty bad but it only smells like that at first. Hope it could help (",)

try leave in conditioner and deep moisturing. i recommend mane and tail. you can leave the conditioner on your hair or rinse it. it is also good when you have your hair dry. If you live buy a Sav-on or a Sally Beauty Supply you can buy it there.
