If you like art, between 50% and 60% of all the major catalogued art in the world is in Italy. Nearly half of that is in Florence (Accademia di Belle Arti, Uffizi, Bargelo sculpture museum, the Duomo and Baptristry, Pitti Palace, Palazzo vecchio, and the churches, particularly the Church of San Lorenzo with its Capelle Medicii).

A large part of the remainder is in Rome (Vatican Museums and the many (over 500) churches).

You can also visit smaller towns, which are relatively close, such as Siena, San Gimignano, Assisi, Orvieto, Ostia Antica, and others.

I have been to Italy many times and begin planning my next trip as soon as I return from the last one. In central and northern Italy, nearly everyone speaks English, albeit with a sometimes heavy accent. The food and wine is delicious and inexpensive, the people are friendly and helpful. What more could you want?

Wow! What a choice!

It really depends on where you want to go and what kinds of things you wish to do or see.

London-you can easily spend two weeks and not be bored
Cardiff(Wales)-so pretty and a lot to do in and around the city
Amsterdam-there is a lot to do-just stay out of the red light district
Munich(Germany)-TONS of stuff to see and do
Stuttgart(Germany)-go to the Mercedes Benz museum for free
Leipzig(Germany)-the history and music there is wonderful!
Heidelberg (Germany)-pretty with a lot to see
Strasbourg (France)-take the Glas boat tour of the city canal-great history and pretty !!!!! Wonderful architecture!
Innsbruck (Austria)-they have a wonderful folk museum next to an
historic church with several royals buried there-you can be ther for hours just on that and there is more to see and do besides that!
Salzburg (Austria)-the hills really ARE alive with the sound of music

....I could go on...but it's a good general idea list
I hope it helps!
:)

the most wise and choice of variety would be

SWITZERLAND

because

it is surrounded by

ITALTY- SOUTH
FRANCE - WEST
GERMANY- NORTH
AUSTRIA- EAST

so if you go to north you get a taste of GERMAN CULTURE mixed with French influence, in south u can experience ITALIAN cuisine, EAST - Austrian tradition, WEST- French cuisine and dining.

Paris in France.
Madrid, Seville and Granada in Spain.
Brussels in Belgium

If you have never been to Europe, London is good place to start cause they speak English, though differently from Americans. I liked Rome a lot. Been to Rome twice London five times. London very expensive though...
