Dear, Senator Spector...

Please enforce our laws, and represent Americans and America as a country of principle and virtue. Please focus your efforts to immigrants on the LEGAL path(previously and currently) - and to the will and honor of law abiding citizens and prospective citizens.

Illegal aliens currently occupying Americas territory, and their profit or well being should be a primary concern to the country of their origin, and not that of the United States of America, who has neither solicited or warranted their entry.

Please Senator Spector....Represent Americans, and stand strong with resolve against criminals that willfully and knowingly break "OUR" laws(laws are Americas first defense our front line).

Thank You Sir:

In your next letter add -how he is not (or has) representing you or the people you know. And he will not get your vote again unless he does. And mean it!

Otherwise it is fine. Thanks for writing.

Almost, you have not considerd the cost of the 'legal path to citizenship', or illegal voting and reducing immigration and the a few others. But for what you mentioned, check out this link (hopefully you'll read this and form your own conclusions before you send it).

And don't forget the current Senate bill has a hidden provision that an unlimited numbers can come legally. They will trick you, just a heads up.

the problem is, you don't supply any suggestions as to HOW he's supposed to do anything. This tells him you're concerned with illegal immigration and that you believe he should stand against it, but it doesn't say how you, his constituent want him to proceed. Of course he's going to be against illegal immigration...it's ILLEGAL. You need to tell your congressman more than just "please, do something." Your duty as a citizen is to find out what the possible solutions are, pick one (or come up with a new one) and try to get Sen. Spector to implement it. Otherwise, all you're doing is complaining.

P.S. Congress doesn't "enforce our laws." That job is delegated to the executive branch, not the legislative. Really the only thing that Senators and Representatives are supposed to do is to pass laws.

I loved it! I wrote a letter to the Backstreet Boys once and told them how much I liked there latest CD and all I got was an autographed picture. I hope you do better. You know what......I bet if you put it on a poster board with a nice design it would make a REALLY awesome impact......my girlfriend Chloe did that once when she was writing the school board......(they didn't want us to show our stomaches......ugh.....why do we do 200 crunches a day....anyway) she wrote the letter had it blown up and we added all these really neat decals and designs and put it in the biggest envelope EVER. It didn't work.......we still can't show our stomaches......unless we reach for things really high....but I think the impact was the same as yours......don't you think?

Oh and you REALLY rock......I could never have snuck in "previously" as well as you did. It would have been ALL out there with me......but that's just me.

But Good Job.........

kisses and love

I think starting out with please and saying it over and over was totally unnecessary. First of all it is his DUTY to represent Americans, you aren't asking for a favor, that's why Americans put him there. Then you generalized, calling them criminals. Better lawbreakers then you can generalize for illegals.
There actually is a distinction between criminals and lawbreakers. Oh and since you personally wrote this letter, you had to speak in the first person, you can't speak for all Americans. Just my opinion on your letter, and good that you are doing your duty as an American citizen, These guys need to be flooded with letters, hopefully it will help.

Since the latest trend is to suggest that voters would be totally OK with this if they are all legal and if immigration in the future was liberalized to the point that all who wanted to come here (barring known as murderers) should be allowed legally, you might want to add something about burden on services and total limited numbers being important.

I think its jingoist crap. Why are you so concerned with removing illegal aliens from the country? When was the last time you lost your migrant farming job to an alien. Are they stealing your work as a day laborer, nanny or gardener? Most illegal aliens come to this contry to better provide for themselves and their families by working low paying, meanial jobs that most Americans consider below them. Most live a law abiding life, trying to keep their families together for fear of being deported by people who hold your views. I am quite proud to say that I live in a country that people risk their lives to enter with hopes of bettering their lot. These people are not our enemies. Yes they are here illegally, but is it a crime to try and better yourself and provide for your family?

It sounds good, but in reality, the Senator and the rest of his buddies in the Senate are so far out of touch with the reality of what the people want that it boggles the mind. Our real hope lies in The House of Representatives - they are truly representing the people on this issue.

You might also want to add your concerned how these illegals are getting jobs. Where are they getting their identification? And who's social security number are they useing? And is it setting a good example to allow some people to break the law?

I'd have to disagree. It is our problem since they're here. So long as they enter our country legally, fine. If they can turn back and get to immigrations to become legal, fine.

You can't tell me that if you are hit by a virus, that it's not your problem.

The USA has a responsibility likewise to make sure nothing bad gets into our system, and that's why we require immigrants to be legally here.
