Being a surrogate is a wonderful thing. I was one for a family friend, had the baby 6 months ago. But you have to make sure that you are ready. Some agency's will do different mental and physical evaluations. You also have to decide if you want to do it with someone else's eggs or your own. You can also do egg donation to a family. There is always adds in paper, magazines, and on line looking for surrogates. Just search for a agency within your city or state. But be ready for all that comes with it. You must emotionally prepare yourself. It is a tough road, but it is rewarding and fantastic. I did it after having 2 children of my own. My husband suggested helping out our friend and I jumped right in. Enjoy it but go in fully informed. Good luck!

I really have no answers to your question but as a hopeful adoptive Mom I think that this is a wonderful thing to do for others. I wish I had known someone who would have been a surrogate for us when we were in the midst of fertility treatments.

God bless you and your efforts to help another's dream come true.

Start with Planned Parenthood or your local adoption agency. They can put you on the right path. There are many, many loving families and each would have their own criteria for you to meet. Good luck and God bless.
