I recently found out that this guy I like had been badly hurt in a previous relationship. I am pretty sure he is interested in me, but I think he is afraid of being hurt again. It has been at least 6 months since they broke up.

If he is gunshy you're going to have to prove to him he can trust you...not an easy task.

depends on the person it took me 3 years to get over my ex wife leaving me for another man but then I just became hard hearted and now that has caused me other problems in relationships with women but again it depends on the person
