OK, we have had him to Disney World four times. We can't think of any other place to take the little guy for fun. Any suggestions?

For a three year old, any change can be an adventure. How about a trip to the mountains, maybe stay the night. Or the beach. Does your town or one close have a Discovery Museum where kids can do hand-on exploring? And what about the old standby of going to a park to enjoy the playground or just feed the ducks. Personally I don't like zoos but for a little one a zoo or an aquarium is an adventure.

Chuck E. Cheese, the zoo, the aquarium, Peter Piper Pizza, Kid Zone, Inflatable Wonderland, the circus, Barney Live, Blues Clues Live, Dora the Explorer Live, Sea World...if you have money to throw around like that and live near Disney World there must be tons of major attractions.

Our faves when my son was 3: backyard with the water hose, the park, Grandma's house, church, and driving near the minor league baseball field at the end of the game to park in a bank parking lot when they'd have fireworks. All free.

Do some research. Find out what your home town has to offer.

Stuff that's cheap or free: A Park (as in swings/slides, etc)... The Beach, hiking (yes little ones love this when you involve them in looking for creatures and flowers, etc... ) your kitchen and make some cookies with them, or something else. They love to help!!

Also, most malls now have a toddler/little one area that is good up till about age 4-5. You can meet other parents and they meet other children, best of all its free to sit and let them play.

Other stuff:
The zoo (if you have one nearby), camping, boat trip (paddleboats, or canoe if you have a rental place nearby) fishing, yes even little ones love to fish. An Aquarium, or science center if there is one nearby. My kids loved going to childrens science museum in Virginia and The Baltimore Aquarium, or Sea World, depending on where you live and whats around.

And of course there are always amusement parks, Chuck E Cheese, and places like that.

a zoo, a park, a lake. He is three, take him to the woods and go on a little treasure hunt finding things like different shaped leaves, wild flowers, things like that. His imagination is huge right now. Take some boxes and make a fort. Let him guide you on fun. If you are looking to actually go some where look up places that have stuff specifically for kids. That is big right now family oriented trips.

Don't spend any more money, take him to a local park or a beach. My son loves this stuff and it's free or almost free. The four trips to Disney World could have paid for future college tuition.

The only way you can top Disney world four times is to take him to a fireworks factory. That's the only way you'll be able to interest him now. Congratulations. You've now created a kid who will be bored with everything.

when my son was little we used to have secret adventures.
We would get in the car and I wouldn't tell him where we were going..........just give him a hint. All of the stuff would already be in the trunk.
Camping......a bag of marshmallows
zoo........box of animal crackers
fishing............gummi worms
etc.
made the trip more fun if you give them hints along the way to guess.
You could have a blast in your backyard.........don't need to go to an amusement park.
go to the dollar store and buy lots of inexpensive toys........put them in the back yard and have fun.
kite flying
star gazing with a telescope
catch lightning bugs
if you are in Florida...........catch anoles or those little lizards that are in the yards..........you call them something different than we northerners do.

Indianapolis has a wonderful children's museum. It would be great for a three year old. Have fun whatever you decide.
