Anybody know how to find a specific priest in the New England area, let alone the US? Website, phone number?

I am looking for the name of a specific Catholic priest. He is a family friend, married lots of my siblings, presided over the funeral of my brother, but we have lost contact with him.... I think last I saw him was in the late 80s. He was in the Manchester, NH area at that time. Please don't bring up anything about the scandals that are involved in priest now.... that's not the reason why I am searching.

I do know his name, but nothing pulls up on searches (yahoo, etc).

To my knowledge there is no Internet database for this information.

What you do is write or call the diocese that the priest is from. Go to their website and call their main office and tell them you are looking for Fr. XXXXX who used to be a part of NAME OF PARISH in the late 1980's. They will transfer you to the correct office.

You might also want to try to contact the Parish that he was attached to and see if they know where he is.

If Fr. XXXXX was a part of a religious order, you will have to contact the headquarters of the order in that area.

Every parish church office has a directory listing every priest, deacon, or bishop throught the world. So he isn't hard to find. Call up the parish secretary, and if that fails, call the diocese office for the information, or to use the directory.
