He won't punish you, but He'll let you suffer the consequences.
He will still love you....don't know about the anger.
I try not to use the word promise because I'm human and I'm sure I'll break it.

Although we obviously don't follow the same religion, I have to say, no, God will not punish you. He knows humans are imperfect and WILL make mistakes. However, this you could use as a lesson: don't make promises you can't keep. If you broke your promise to your God, it'll be easier to break your promises to others. Watch what you promise. Think it through completely before making any promise. Don't be so hasty next time.
Blessed Be!

First thing first, God sent the second member of The God head, one equal with The Father to save you from sin, and that sin would be including making promises you can't keep, also, let your yes mean yes and your no mean no, and do NOT make promises to God as human promises are like ropes of sand, we are living in A world were everone dies, Jesus is The Only Way out, if you seek Him first and His righteousness, and try to live for Him you can forget about your sins and let your LOVING Father save you, God hates SIN but LOVES sinners. wgr88@yahoo.com also free Bible lessons www.itiswritten.com God Bless

No, God will not punish you because God does not judge or condemn us. Sins are purely human constructs designed by the early church leaders to control the masses through fear-based living. God is all-loving.

It depends on who your God is. If your God is the Lord, whose Son is Jesus Christ, then you are forgiven of all sin and wrongdoing.
This is because Jesus died on the cross as payment for all your sins, past, present, and future. Since Jesus was the Son of God, He is equivalent to God. Nothing you do can add to or take away from His act of forgiveness.
But if Jesus is your Savior, then you shouldn't go breaking promises to Him. So say you're sorry and ask forgiveness.

He is God and can be whatever He wants with us when we mess up. Like a father, He is disappointed. But I believe that He will continue to do what He does best: love you and through that love will discipline and ...forgive.. (and then, as if that wasn't enough....forget!) He IS amazing! Don't be too hard on yourself...we all make mistakes, break promises, vows. Yes, feel bad, feel guilty but don't get stuck there. Get on your knees and pour out your feelings and confession to the One who loves you and will NEVER leave you. Renew tht promise with even more committment to stick to it. You can do it because you can do all things through Christ who gives you strength. (Philippians 4:13)

No he won't.
It is common to view god as sort of a mix of a genie and a big angry parent -- he (or she) is neither.
That view comes from the way you see adults treat god, and from a wrongful belief that scripture is inspired, which it isn't.
God is god, he loves you and he understands that you are mortal. He isn't like a big mortal parent, he is truly understanding and loving.
Write if you want to have someone listen to you, or if you need to talk. What you did isn't really bad anyway.
Peace,

just remember GOD is a forgiving GOD,what did he do to the twelve disciples in the new test. or with any prophet in the old? GOD forgave them, David in the old test, forgiveness had to be given for what he did, you think? Thomas for doubting, the one thief beside him on the cross, GOD does forgive but he doesn't take away the sin but he is with us, just like he was in the fire with ME SHACK and his brothers, in the burning bush, there is nothing he wont fore give if you repent, with sincerity and turn away from evil.
