Someone can lose their salvation if they fall into a life of sin. It is not over until it is over. We must constantly try and be virtuous, pray, love our neighbors, love God and do his will.
God is not responsible for evil things happening. That is the devil. He has decided to permit evil and not kill it all because he does not want to kill the good along with it. It is up to us to be good despite all the evil around us. We should not ask the Lord to hasten the death of evil doers - because that will all come when the Lord wills on judgement day. The wheat and the chaff will be separated - the chaff will be burned and the wheat be put in the barn. We might one day be wheat, another chaff and then back again. We can ask the Lord to give us strength, we can repent and we can do good works and increase our talents. Our job is to make sure that we get put in the barn come judgement day.

I am saved and believe that I will never lose my salvation. I think that if you are truely saved, you are saved. It's a past tense verb, so it's already happened. You're already saved. BUT....I know people that think they're saved, but they aren't. They're like the seed that falls on the rocky path and never grows. They hear the gospel and want to believe but they don't go all the way.
You can't lose something you never had.

Salvation isn't a done deal just because someone runs and jumps into a river or fancy tub. Salvation is something one must work at each and every day.

I would think you have to have a "clean" soul before you die (AKA, being "saved" and staying so before dying) I used to be "saved" and was a Christian, but now I'm an atheist. In all honesty, I think that if God exists, there will be a whole mixed bag of people in Hell, Christians, Atheists, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, etc. How accurate can Man's attempt at understanding a God's justice be?

I am a Muslim and before that I was Christian. The only thing that can save you from the Hellfire is your belief in God and your submission to his will through doing good deeds. If you associate partners or equals with God then you will not be saved from the Hell fire unless that was something that you did in the past which you have repented for and you now believe in only one God with no partners and you die with that belief. Jesus cannot save anyone from the Hellfire.

Yes, you can. Dosen't happen very often and very hard to do.
IF you still have a desire to follow GOD, JESUS and make HEAVEN your HOME, you haven't committed it.
The enemy will tempt you to sin, and if you do sin, then he will tell you that you committed it (unpardonable sin).
The unpardonable sin is not just a regular ole' sin like, drunkeness, lying, stealing, cheating, fornicating, being gay, murder, so on so on.
Adam committed the Unpardonable SIN when he, ON PURPOSE, made a decision(knew what he was doing) and walked away from GOD on purpose(ate from the Tree).
After you are Born-Again, you have done TWO of the thing's necessary to do BEFOR you can commit this SIN.
There are 3 more thing's to do befor you can commit it. BABY Children of GOD (Christian's) CAN NOT COMMIT THIS SIN.
YOU have to go up HIGH ENOUGH (by GROWING in the SPIRIT) on the Mountain of TRUTH so that if you JUMP-OFF(walk away from GOD on Purpose, not wanting JESUS no more, GOD no more, HEAVEN no more---a Decision made on purpose to go back into the WORLD COMPLETELY)
the fall will kill you Spiritually.(Change your Spiritman back into LOST).
p.s. Adam committed this SIN, but he did it befor the Old Testament(contract with GOD for Salvation) was put into place, and befor the New Testament,( JESUS died on the CROSS), so he had a chance to ACCEPT JESUS as his SAVIOUR. Do you think Adam and Eve did???? I do. Hope this helps......

The question is not so much if you can lose your salvation, but whether or not you've truly repented, and accepted Christ into your life. Everyone has a free-will choice to choose either to serve God, or not. As long as you're born-again, and whole-heartedly following Christ, then you are safe.

The correct answer to this question is found in the book of Ezekiel 3:20.
God commissions Ezekiel to warn those that are in sin, both the righteous and the wicked. Note what God tells him.
"When a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because you have not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he had done shall not be remembered........"
So, it is possible for one to lose his/her salvation if that person decides to turn from it.

In order to have eternal life with our heavenly Father you need to have a personal relationship with him. My teacher put it this way:
Simply KNOWING ABOUT God won't give you salvation. You need to KNOW God in order to recieve His Blessing. If you don't maintain your relationship with him, you can't recieve the gift of eternal life.
