i think because the conditioner weakens the bond between the weave and your natural hair, which can cause it to slip and look unnatural.
But i might be off.

it looses the braids which make the sew in look old and plus its bad on the weave....depends if the weave is cheap or high priced...some good hair to use is pro-10 hair the kind brandy uses b/c it doesnt look old after you wash it a couple of times, everytime you wash it it looks brand new unlike other weave...b/c its made with different fibers than average weave and plus it doesnt take much heat to curl it and it comes in different styles....it only causes about $20-24 a packet depending on length. You can visit hairsisters.com(they have it and a lot more plus they have conditioners that are gentle on weave and stuff like that)....good luck

It would soft and make the thread frail, causing the weaves to come loose much sooner.

any variety of weave is unfavorable to the hair. the burden of the weave will pull and tug the hair. additionally, whilst this is time to take the thread out, sometime they cut back the hair. i'd advise wearing the wigs till your hair is one hundred% wholesome back.
