i had to forgive myself for going agianst my inner voice. i am the one who caused myself the most pain in this lifetime. i didn't listen to my gut when my husband was having an affair. it was all because, i didn't have undeniable proof. it almost drove me crazy. i forgive myself for lying to me about what i allready knew, but just did't have proof of. i forgive myself for trying to make myself believe what i wanted to believe. i forgive myself for treating me just as bad, if not worse than my husband did when he did that. i will never lie to myself agian.

The death of my son, he was killed by a drunk driver. However, I did not have to forgive this individual, I chose to. And in doing so, I did not forgive the act, just the outcome. Finally, remember, forgiveness does not have to include forgetting.

My niece by marriage called my husband up and told him I was doing drugs, selling Meth, and I owed my dealer. I didn't know about this and I walked up to her and hugged her because it was the anniversary of her son's death...and we cried a little together...and the next day my husband asked me if she was really mad at me and I was floored when he told me what she had told him. Then a few days later, she called him and told him I had used her account to pay the insurance on my truck several times! I forgave her, but I will never trust her again.

We are required to forgive everyone for everything. It is up to God to judge them. He can forgive or not forgive whomever He chooses, but if we do not forgive somebody, then we ourselves risk not being forgiven by God.
