I will probably get slammed for this, but yes, I do. If Jesus had to die for our sins, then someone had to betray him and turn him over to the Romans. Judas was just fulfilling that part of the prophecy. Why is he hated so much? He had a very important part to play in the scheme of things.

Ultimately, yes, in the sense that somebody had to betray him. However, why Judas is condemned is for the reasons he chose to betray Jesus. He did not betray him for righteous reasons, but for selfish and greedy reasons.

I think so. Jesus came down to educate our butts, but more importantly came down to die for us. Judas kissed Jesus to tell the Romans that: this is Jesus. If he had not done that, then we could not be saved today.
By the way, it was on Jesus's cheek not his lips.
