Oh yes, I have been living with my boyfriend for 3 years and his ignorant mother and brother have tried to make my life a living hell. He finally got fed up and stopped dealing with them. He has a niece who is gay and they accepted her girlfriend. They are black and I am Hispanic ( Spain) and Italian mix. They call me white princess or cracker all of the time. I have even had to fight his sister. She doesn't Fu** with me anymore. I am so close with my family, and they love him to death. They( his family) blame me for him not going to there houses, and birthdays etc. I have told him to go but he always says if they can't accept me then he doesn't consider them family. It is not my fault. I come from the city and they are from this little country town. They are just so ignorant. We have 2 children , his boy and my son. We have a great family life together. We just recently got custody of his only son, and they blame me for that. I guess that they preferred his son living in a crack house rather than growing up with good values and a strong family atmosphere.......Go figure

people treat you the way you allow them to. If someone is doing something you find unacceptable then tell them. Ask them not to visit or call unless they can be reasonable and polite

My in-laws all smoke even though they know it bothers both of us, so that's kind of hard to take.
