Yes you got flea bites. Help the poor little guy and you will help yourself. Obviously, whatever product you got isn't doing the trick. Go find something else, Ectokyl 3X pyrethrin shampoo is great and it is not so harsh and toxic, made w/ botanical extracts and aloe. Try Avon skin so soft for you and your pup. You can leave that on his coat. Fleas hate it. I capful diluted in 1/2 gallon warm water- Vet suggested and it works for sensitive babes, or ones too young for a typical flea bath. Obviously treat entire house now that youv'e been invaded, but be careful what u use. Wash all bedding, linens, etc... vaccum everywhere you get the idea. Im sure someone will give you more advice for the home , my concern was the pup.

the same thing happened to me. it is the fleas and when you bathed you pup they start to jump off of him. the bath doesn't kill them right away and will cause the live fleas to want to get away form you pup and find something that isn't medicated. you need to fog you house and wash all you covers, sheets and maybe even you pillows. i have actually found that if you will use the flea shampoo on yourself then it helps keep the fleas off of you!! and a good thing to do is get straight in the shower and do this right after you have bethed you pup.
a note about flea collars and flea drops. . . for the collar to work properly you need to bath him first and kill all the fleas. the collar just prevents him for getting more on him. it doesn't really kill them. as for the drops you can apply this and it will take a few days but it will kill the fleas and it will also kill all the eggs and larvae. there is also a pill that you can give them that is supposed to kill all the fleas in about 24 hours but it only lasts for 24 hours and then you dog can get them again. these are good to use with the collars or the drops that way you get all the fleas off and the collars and drops prevent him from getting them agian. DO NOT USE THE DROPS ON YOURSELF!!! they contain a pesticde that is safe for DOGS not people. the instructions tell you not to get them on you and to wash your hands after application.

It could be fleas. If they're little random bumbs and are itchy, it could be. My sisters dogs had them and thats what I got. But, to prevent your puppy from getting them and to kill some that he might already have, get a 6 month flea collar, theres one that is half blue on the top and half white on the bottom, it works wonders!
You could also have a allergic reaction to the dog. Is he long haired? Does he go into grassy areas where theres pollen? Take all that into consideration as well.
Hope you get better. I'd also advise you to use a non-chlorine bleach along with the hot water to clean fabrics and carpet.

You can buy producys such as stop itch once you have eliminated the fleas.Obviously you made the mistake of leting him into your bed before you eliminated them and now you have infested your bed as well.you wont die from the flea bites but now you have athorough clean up to do with your bedding and anywhere else the pup has been--your sofa -his kennel, etc.sprays are probably a good way,and you can also buy these cans that you let off in the rooms of your house and you close the place up for a couple of hours and go for a walk or something.good luck.

theres a REALY good chance it could be fleas. ive raised 4-6 litters of kittens (16-26 kittens in total)(not sure how man there were casue they were outdoor kitties and some died) and a FULL litter of puppies (7 puppies) and the mother and one puppy got fleas, sometimes you can bathe themn away, and other times you need a realy strong dog med for it. only cause theyeve been ther for soo long, washjing your bedding is a good idea, but theres also a chance it could be skin mites, ir ticks. all of them are a major pain. id say try to get sme avantage, but also get a quick check by a vet just to make sure its nothing more severe, like an alergy that yout alergic to too. or an pdd fungus or an odd type of dog shingles, dont panic yet, but get some advice too.

I have heard that fleas will not pass from a dog to a human, simply because they are already on a host so it would be pointless for them to jump from an animal to a person. Maybe you are allergic to dogs? I would take him to a vet to rule out the flea problem & if the problem persists you should consider you may be allergic.

Advantage works great, but check to see if your puppy is old enough to use it. It kills the fleas and the eggs. I've used it and haven't had a flea problem at all.

Fleas may have laid eggs in the carpet or your couch. Also the dog might have a skin condition. Talk to a vet is the best advice I can give.
