Yes and yes. And moreover... no one should have to put up with that.

Robert,
Get a grip. If you can't answer this question yourself, you need a lot of help.Let's make this brief, but clear. If you were in prison, and you were ganged rape by other prisioners, would that be rape, or would it be harmless violence? Even a destructive word is violence. If she says no, or if he says no, it's no. Would you really want to force yourself on the person you supposedly love? You may think, as a spouse, she's yours. She is far from yours, although I suspect that she has allowed your force more than a few times. The fault ,however, is all yours. A real man would be sweet, kind, and understanding. If you are forcing her to bow to your wishes, of any kind, you are very distant in being a man..Do you consider yourself a coward and a bully? You probably don't, but if you are expecting her to comply with your every wish because you are her husband, you are just that, a coward and a bully.
I'll bet you too, that this answer won't be your choice as 'best'. Think about this Robert. Don't continue the pattern. Your father treated your Mom the same way, right?
Take care of yourself, and of her.

Webster's Dictionary defines rape as "the unlawful act of forcing a person, esp. a female, to have sexual intercourse." It is the word "forcing" which is the key to whether or not sexual intercourse was consentual or not. If a partner says "NO," it is rape.
Can a wife be raped? According to Wellesley Centers for Women: "Wife Rape is the term used to describe sexual acts committed without a person's consent and/or against a person's will, when the perpetrator (attacker) is the woman's husband or ex-husband."
Today it is a crime in all 50 states (and federal lands) for a husband to rape his wife. It is difficult to believe that just 20 years ago (in 1976) no husband could be charged with raping his wife, due to a section in the rape laws called the Marital Rape Exemption. This exemption (which was thought to be common law in some states but the result of legislation in others) actually exempted men from prosecution for rape in cases where the woman he raped was his wife!
YES,
man thinks wife should submit....there is law... submission by force is not acceptable....

Just because you are married, that does not give your husband the ultimate right to have sex with you when you don't want to. If you don't stop him now, you will regret it at some point especially if he continues and you do nothing about it. File charges against him, get out of the marriage and give yourself time to heal because if you don't you will forever be haunted and struggle within yourself of how you feel as a person, as a woman, as a human being. Dogs don't ever do what your husband does to you.

rape is rape, no matter whether you're married or not. if a man forces sex upon a woman and she is saying NO, then it's rape. no ifs, ands, or buts about it.
