I also have thin hair. I decided to put a light perm into it. It now has lots of body and looks very full. I also layered it. The perms today, are not like the 80's, the curls are much bigger and looser. If you decide to do this, be very specific and bring a picture. I am very thrilled with my new do. It is also very easy to fix. Good luck.

Yes cut it. Long thin hair is no good. You should layer it and it will help with the volume. But you'll have to style it everyday to get that result. If you layer it and don't put effort into it, it will make it look even thinner. Good luck.

Cut it to about shoulder length with long layers, maybe even a touch shorter in the back, say sorta stacked. Buy some Amplify(available at most salons) or get some Big Sexy Hair products(available at most salons). They both work. The voluming mousse works very well in both of those products.

You definatly want layers. Make sure that the layers are at least 3 inches shorter then the rest of your hair.

Major and Tail is excellent. And also you must trim your hair!!! You quite often have dead ends which is why it's not developing :p And whatever you cut off will more often than not develop again lovely quick. But in view that you have not been trimming it, possibly you will have to get 2 or 3 inches off, as your hair quite often isn't very healthful. And try braiding it earlier than you go to sleep, it style of helps it grow rapid. And prenatal or biotin vitamins. (:

Everyone has mentioned layering it. But you could layer is and also get a body wave or a perm. That will make it look thicker.

layers will help but don't go really drastic. also you can use volumizing shampoos and conditioners. a trick after you wash you haor is to flip your head upside down and blowdry it. you don't have to use any products for this but moose or a little humectress conditioner will help the effect.
