Pastas are always cheap and pretty healthy.
Salads are pretty cheap, too, as long as you don't buy already prepared salads. A head of lettuce is about a buck, toppings can add up. But once you have bought toppings they will last for many salads. So even with toppings salads can be really cheap.
Soups are healthy and reasonably priced.
Some fish (such as catfish especially catfish nuggets) are priced fairly reasonable in most parts of the country.
Chicken usually is not that expensive either.
Cereals are great, too. Alot of vitamins and minerals, generally low calorie, and very inexpensive. A $4.00 box of cereal will provide a dozen servings or so.
But between pastas, salads, and soups plus the occasional fish and chicken, you should be able to eat fairly healthy with a decent variety for really cheap!

If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://bitly.im/aMC5G

The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true

Where do you live and what is available locally. Wherever you are, eat like a native. Buy what grows and is produced locally. Short of that, there are a thousand ways to prepare chicken; as many ways to prepare rice; beans are healthy and nutricous.
Rather than TV dinners, buy chicken parts and bags of frozen or fresh vegetables. Individual chicken parts coated in breadcrumbs is easy to bake. Buy a custard cup, fill with a frozen vegetable, cover with aluminum foil, and bake with chicken piece. Cheaper and better than a TV dinner.
If you wish, email me, tell what is available in your area, what tools you have, and what you like, and I will try to find you more bachelor(ette) dinners.

Buy a whole chicken and roast it. You can make gravy and serve with mashed potatoes. That's good for one meal, then you can make chicken casserole or chicken salad. I make chicken salad with a bit of olive oil and Tastefully Simple season salt. This chicken salad is also really good mixed with pasta. The season salt and olive oil are also really good on rice and cous cous. Both are really inexpensive and easy to make. Pasta is really inexpensive meal too.

Get some tuna, and make a nice green salad, and mix the tuna in with the salad.

Buy the least expensive chicken parts you can find, like the thighs, not wings.Take off the skin, saute a couple of them with chopped onion, garlic, some cayenne, ground black pepper, pinch of cumin,a can of chopped tomato, add a cup of water and 1/2 cup of rice, cover and simmer for about 30 minutes.
Find a .99c store! They have all kinds of chicken, pasta, canned stuff, and it is all on .99
