I am in the same situation... except I have like 15 more I could stand to lose. I would go for tummy tuck. Liposuction is just removing the fat, which they can do during the tummy tuck. The tuck will give your belly the flat appearance. GL

You lose a quarter of your mass and you want to know what you need?

Try a consultation with a plastic surgeon.

Us schlubs cannot properly assess what you need.

However, know that the two operations are different.

A tummy tuck (or abdominoplasty) essentially rebuilds the abdomen with less fat and less skin. It's a somewhat invasive procedure, and definately quite involved. It can take two months to recover, but you'll have a better torso (and possibly less visible skin distress).

Liposuction is a procedure which removes fat deposits, usually through a narrow tube.

I'm 43 and have lost 50 lbs by starving a little.I want to be a size 9 at the largest and a 5 if i can.The tuck would be good for loose skin.I'd be afraid of the lipo. But a 9 is good.Congrats.

If it's loose skin, a tummy tuck. If it's fatty tissue, lipo! Congrats on the weight loss. What does your doctor say about losing more?

We are our own worst critic. You will always think you look worse than you really do. Be content with where you are. For a 36 year old to be in size 9 jeans...that's d*mn awesome! Everyone wants to be smaller...but just remember...you could still be bigger. Be happy for what you've accomplished; be proud.

Before starting any diet/exercise program, check with your doctor. From your description above, sounds like simple excercise like sit-ups or crunches may help flatten your stomach without expensive and unnecessary operations.

I recomend no cirgury, go to the gym and workout. Do Abs and you'll see the difference, and its cheaper, and by the way 140 is really good!!
