I definitely do. At the moment when things happen, you might not realize the purpose of it. It might even take a lifetime for you to figure it out but there is definitely a purpose.

A long time ago (maybe 17 yrs) I was driving late at night alone with my son, just a baby at the time. The road was pretty dark and deserted. Out of no where I saw a light (just one not a set as in cars) quickly heading towards us, it was approaching us really fast from the back. I found it weird since it was only one light and the speed it was coming at us was amazingly fast -- too fast for a car / motorcycle, etc. I was concerned and I decided to move out of the road, so that it could pass me up.

Now this part is hard to explain, but simultaneously I was approaching a crossroad when I decided to move over. And I swear I saw no one else on the road except that light in back of me. When I pulled over, two cars came out of no where and crashed onto each other right next to me!!! And I quickly thought there is no way this "light" in back of me is going to stop in time, it is just going to crash into these 2 other cars and get me as well.
Well when I looked for the light it was gone!!! No one else on the road! If it hadn't been for the light I would have been right smack in the middle of the other two cars.

Creepiest day of my life..... thank God for the light.

No. It is a common belief, if you mean that unknown forces cause things to happen to someone that makes them happy or sad. I do believe that actions cause re-actions. BUT, NOT the aspect that unknown forces are planning actions for people on purpose. You just could be in a certain frame of mind or in a certain place and something happens that has nothing to do with you at all. So there was no "reason" for that to happen to you. It just did, and if you had done something slightly different it wouldn't have happened. Who or what would want to control every "could have been" and "what does happen" to us all, and all who have been and all that will be. If everything did happen for a reason, we would not have free will and we would be pre-programed, that would be pretty weird.

Yes I believe everything that happens has a reason. However it's not always a good thing to go looking for that reason. Sometimes it's best to just let things happen and not look at it too deeply.

A single event sets off a chain of unstoppable events (a domino effect). Things happen for a reason yes, because an action will cause a reaction.

There is always reason behind an action because the action had to have had something that caused it. Example: something supernatural caused the Big Bang. (Action/reaction)

I really do believe that things happen for a reason. It's not like breaking up with your boyfriend because you feel like it. You have to have a reason for doing that.

Yes I do. I believe there is a plan mapped out for each life. The twists and turns which life takes, bring some challenges. We develop strength of character in adversity. If everything is handed on a silver platter, and is suddenly taken away, it can leave a person paralysed (so to speak) Trials and tribulations put us in a position of knowing how to help someone else, if we have walked in their shoes.

Yup.

The reason things happen is that you, or another person did something, and the thing in question happened as a result.

Things don't just magiacally happen on their own.

Sure, things can't happen without a reason. our existence is for a reason, marriage , even death. we should always look for reasons behind all this otherwise we would be like animals ,ignorants.
