Well, I've heard it so many many times that I've grown accustomed to it. I even doubt anyone who says it is serious anymore.
But you know what, Christians invented the word "witchcraft" to demonize Old Religions so that people would follow Christianity only. It didn't work, obviously, but since they invented it, it can mean whatever the heck they want it to mean.
I consider myself a Witch, though, and I have walked into churches and God has decided that He isn't bothered by my being in His home, and I have suffered no misfortune trying to attend mass or touching the cross or anything. So it's OK with God and I don't care what any churchman has to say because their dying and suffering internally so much to me is a sign that God is mad at them for picturing Him as a jealous monster who sees everyone as a slaves.
Sunlight DOES make me dizzy, though.

You can't point the finger and judge all christian believers as being the same, just like no one can point the finger and judge all witches as being the same. Do you all sacrifice humans? animals? Do you cast spells to hurt people? Do you sit up all night chanting the same prayer over and over again until your tongue hurts?
I am a christian, I don't believe witchcraft is right. But you can't point the finger at Christians and accuse them as a whole. Take a look at the individuals that are disturbing you, then really think about them as individuals and the things they are saying, are those individuals intellegent, experienced and overall trustworthy just as people? Is their sanity obvious? I've seen a few Christians that were pretty strong believers but they got caught up in the RELIGEOUS aspect of it all and lost sight of the truth. They did more damage then good. These are probebly the people that bother you the most.
To be a strong christian you have to educate yourself about what it is your are believing, the bible is my source of information, as I learn about the Lord, I have no choice but to learn about Lucifer. Both are very real. There is alot more to Christianity or to just being a follower of Christ then just tossing up opinions.
Witches do experience supernatural powers, it's true, but whatever is not of the Lord, IS of evil. The Lord will judge you for the decisions you make in the life he gave you whether you believe in him or not. God Bless.

Any power that does not come from God is evil. All true witchcraft, fortune telling, and the like come from demonic sources (I'm going to get so much hate-mail for this). There are documentations of pagans (and I do not use this word in a derogatory way) seeing the truth in Christ and having mass burnings where they burned books that contained spells and such. So that is where that quote would come from.
However, the Bible also says to abide by the laws of the land. So, considering that the law tells us not to kill, it is the same as if it were God's command.

If you look into history which I don't think that you did, a witch is defined as a person who make potions. Furthermore, if you look into the greek word, it was pharmakia, which means pharmacy, which is where we get drugs. So in other words a witch is someone who makes drugs and potions. It says that the soldiers casted lots for his robe, not that witches did. However, the medium at Endor that Saul went and found was also the definition of a witch in the fact that she practiced divination, but you need to realize that there is a difference in modern-day definition of a witch and the bibilical definition. For instance, someone who palm-reads is a charlatan, but someone who telekinetically kicks someones butt is a witch. I should know. I am an ex-occultist.

I have no problem with witchcraft at all. On the other hand I do have a problem with Christianity. Or, to be more precise, the usual band of half wits, arrogant self obsessed pious holy-er than thou hate merchants. That use the word of god as a cover for their own self loathing and apparent lack of self esteem. And, as the only way they can have any sort of power is to diminish others and their faith or way of life! And they do it all in the name of god!

I personally don't practice witchcraft but I don't think Christians should go around saying they can put people to death because their not like them. Christians are really supposed to be the most tolerant of religions but I haven't seen that to be the case, such as your statement.

So that just goes to show once again, that Catholics stole our religion, killed us off so no one would know, and then you say you wanna kill us?? Witchcraft has kept me healthy and happy my whole life!! Catholics just don't wanna fess up to the truth.. Our religion was around 1400 years before "Jesus" existed... just cause the original Popes and Priests, or whatever the hell you call them, over in Europe tried to tie religion and government together to control people, and the people of other religions such as us Pagans didn't wanna convert they say kill us.. Fine... Hunt me down and see what happens.. I'll even give you "HOLY FOLK" my address... I'm also creeped out by this, actually I'm pissed off about this!!!

I think the whole Christian religion is a contradiction. It says things like "Love thy neighbor as thyself." "Thou shalt not kill." "Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart." things like that about not hating people, etc. THHEENN in the old testament it would say things like "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live." (which was a bad translation by the way) and That's what drove people around Salem, Mass. to falsely accuse people of witchcraft and burn them at the stake. For being such a "Loving" religion, there sure are a lot of horrible, brutal, inhumane things done in the name of it.
It's a simply lack of understanding and a blind faith in their god and the bible. There's no use arguing with them since they are so brainwashed by their church and the bible.
The bible is so different from when it started. There have been so many different translations and versions that it's hardly "God's word" anymore.
Just live and let live.

Christians are not supposed to kill anyone. Besides, that "thou shalt not suffer a witch to live" quote was originally "thou shalt not suffer a poisoner to live." Someone either goofed up or they rewrote it for their own agenda. This "your either 100% for God or 100% against God" is a bipolar argument, a form of mental instability, and is what gets people killed. I don't think God would create humanity in order for it to wipe itself out over details. yes, I do find the atement disturbing due to its lack of compassion an its intolerance.

The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing.
They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.
