My daughter (16 yrs of age)asked me this question the other day. " How did you know that you love my Pops" I said you just know and its a feeling that you can not discribe but know that I thought about my answer it sounded corny as heck. help please. thanks

I have never loved a man - although I was married - I love my family and I know I'd take a bullet for any of them - well maybe not my youngest brother, but anyway.....it's hard for a child to know and it's hard to explain. I think you did well in trying to say what it's like.
Ask her how does she know she loves you and her dad? How does she know you love her? It's just like that.

Tell her it's a good feel'n N U'r guts that tell U that this person S the 1! there Sn't a lot of words 2 discribe this feel'n I know cuzz I'm N love my self. I jus' think that it's a gut feel'n, it's also a time thing, U can't really rush U'r love, some people can find love @ 1st sight but not I! I found love w/ out even look'n 4 it, love S supposed 2 B paitent N it's supposed 2 B understand'n. That's only what I can say about it, but 2 tell U the truth I really don't have words 2 discribe it, love S something else U know, discrib'n how much she loves me N how much I love her S easy ;But discrib'n love itself I'd look it up N the bible, that's my dictionary!?!?

You know it is the real thing when you find yourself putting the wishes and the wants of the other person first. When you can say to yourself, "he is my best friend". You want to share your thoughts with him, and you know that no matter what you tell him, he will not think the less of you. The thought of life without him is actually a physical ache.
Helping them to understand that there is a big difference between sexual attraction and a meeting of the minds are worlds apart. Sexual attraction is a wonderful thing... but if he is a moron, what do you talk about afterwards!!! The cutest boy is school is also the most conceited (as a rule), and while it is a feather in your cap to say you got him.... you are going to be a whole lot happier with a guy who is not in his "click".
Don't think that you have to sleep with all the guys to be popular. That kind of popular has a really nasty stigma attached to it. My sons are now out of highschool, but they both agree that the "village bicycle" was great for a ride, but you sure didn't want to bring her home to meet mom!!!
She is at the scary part of relationships... learning what one is!!!

You know u love someone when u can't seem to figure out your life without that person. U know that u would give everything for the other.. no matter what.. and when u finally do it's the best feeling ever!

Good question.
Yes its hard to explain love. For me I think that you know that you love someone when you genuinely share the same emotions. If that person feels hurt you hurt, feel pain you share their pain, if someone tries to harm them you are ready to defend. If you don't love and care for a person you really don't care what happens to them or how they feel. That just my opinion.
But another question is we may love someone but do we show love to that person?

Do you enjoy being with this person??? Do you miss them when you're no together??? Do you feel excited with anticipation with the idea of the other person coming home??? That might help you, I don't know.

When you love somebody you get this irristable feeling about that person, you think of them all the time day and night, you feel so happy when your with them, you just know its all about the feeling of love.

you know you love someone when you are there for him/her and want to be with him/her and you get a diffrent feelin (warm feelin) when you get around him/her and cant stop thinkin about him/her when their not around! And when you think about them even when you sleep and when you wake up their the first thing on your mind
