I'm asking this question because I am not a vegetarian or vegan, but I do feel extremely bad for eating meat in front of a person who is a vegetarian or even vegan.

How often does this happen to you? Don't worry, if a girl is a vegan you will probably know it before you go to eat because their so damn picky, they can't eat alot of places. If a girl is a vegetarian if she likes you she won't care what you eat!

it would be polite and considerate to ask and on the other hand it would be polite and considerate for a vegetarian to not object to your eating meat, also

why not ask her what her favorite meal/food is?
