If you're into architecture, try almost any big city (New York, South Bend, Ind., etc...) If you're into history, try Battle Creek, Mich. There's a large 7th day Adventist community there. Kellogg's was started using the Adventist way of life as a means of healthy living. You can become immersed in the Jewish culture and avoid the sleazy nite life in Miami. It helps to know someone there. So much to learn from the people. Does any of that help?

There is a place just outside of Lawton OK. It's called Holy City. Every year at Easter time They put on an Easter Pageant. It portrays the life and times of Jesus. It's a whole city made to be like the city's were in Jesus time. It is a site to see even when it's not Easter time. It's near Fort Sill. There is also a lot of other things to see there. Jeramino is buried there. Along with a lot of civil war museums. You can also go to perrie dog town. I lived there for about 1 year. There is also a small mountain range. Where you can go and explore. go into the caves in the mountains. You can see the buffalo that roam all over the wild life reserve. I know that it's not a religious thing but on the way into the wild life reserve you will see a small mountain that's called tit mountain. It looks just like a boob (sorry about but it's true) There is so much to do and see there you can fill up a week worth of vacation

The World Headquarters Of The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society:
25 Columbia Heights, Brooklyn, New York 12201-2483

This is an excellent tour for persons of all religions who want to know more about Jehovah's Witnesses.

During the tour, they will show you where persons (who walked across the Brooklyn Bridge after the September 11 attacks) were fed and allowed to shower.

I agree with KansasSpice.....Salt Lake City, Utah. In fact there are several historical (religious and non) places to visit in Utah that deal with the Mormon Church (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints or LDS for short). Yes, I am LDS but I made my first 3 visits to Utah and SLC before I joined the church. Non members can visit the LDS Visitors Center, Temple Square and tour the SLC Temple. Tours of the Temple are limited to certain rooms or sections as much of the Temple is considered sacred and only members are allowed to enter those areas. Let me assure you that it has nothing to do with elitism and everything to do with our beliefs. Also, even though church members are restricted from drinking booze or smoking tobacco products (know as The Word of Wisdom if your curious) you can purchase alcohol at state package (liquor) stores. I know because I bought Wild Turkey 101 at those package stores during our camping trips their prior to joining the church. I don't smoke bit I assume you can buy tobacco products at the local grocery stores. Utah is a great place to spend your holiday even if your not interested in visiting religious sites. Below are 2 sites you might want to review. The 1st has info on offbeat tourist attractions and the 2nd has tourist website information for every state.

Phoenix Arizona to visit the largest antique Bible showroom. Contact http://www.greatsite.com for details. You may also want to see where their next dead sea scrolls exhibit is going to be, it will change your life.

If you are going soon, the Maltz Jewish History museum in Strongsville Ohio has an excellent temporary exhibit from Jerusalem based on the first couple centuries of Christianity. It is totally awesome and has 3 lines of the Torah scrolls on display. This is the first time these artifacts have been on display in America.

Also in Ohio, Guernsey County I believe, they put on a production of the trial and crucifixion of Christ.

You'll obviously want to visit a religious site with a lot of history and relevance to the american people, so I'd suggest you contact one of the Native American representatives and ask their advice.

Enjoy your enlightenment.
