Assuming the other fighters were in their prime to how about for a list of heavys who could beat Lennox

Joe Louis
Rocky Marciano
Archie Moore
Sonny Liston
Mohammed Ali
Joe Frazier
George Foreman
Larry Holmes
Mike Tyson
Evander Holyfield
Roy Jones Jr

You might look at my list and discover that in my opinion Lewis would have been champion in no other generation than the one he was in.

I have included Holyfield because even though Lewis beat him twice the first fight could have went either way, and if they had fought when Evander was having his wars with Foreman and Bowe, he would have beat Lewis.

Also had Jones Jr fought Lewis right after the Ruiz fight, Jones Jr would have won Lewis' title.

Ask yourself who did Lewis really beat.

It took him to fights two beat an aging Holyfield and he didn't;t do it that impressively.
Tyson was well past his prime.
He lost to Racman but was pretty impressive in the rematch and he was losing the fight to Klitchko when it was stopped.

Jack Johnson, Jack Dempsey, Joe Louis, Gene Tunney, Rocky Marciano, Sonny Liston, Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, George Foreman, and Larry Holmes were all much better than Lennox Lewis.

I think plenty of fighters could have beaten Lewis in his prime. What are we calling his prime? His "biggest" fight that he won was against Holyfield when holyfield was 37 or so. He never had a great heavywieght in the division to prove any type of greatness. But to answer the question: Joe lewis, a younger Holyfield, Ali, Joe Lewis, and probably alot more i can't think of now.

Many people could have beaten Lewis in his prime. Hasim Rahman did it before he even got very good. George Foreman would however, have the easiest time with Lewis, because he would walk right through Lewis's jab and punish him knocking him out reasonably early in the fight. Mohammed Ali would have worn out Lewis and probably won a decision.

Vitali Klitchko. This was Lewis's last opponent boxed and Vitali totally had his number. The only reason he won was b/c Vitali had a bad cut and the match had to be stopped. If this match would have went the distance Vitali WOULD HAVE WON. Lewis retired after this fight.

Geez, any of the heavyweights could've have beat the piece of chopped liver in their primes. Sugar Ray Leonard as a welterwieght could've beat that slow, boring oaf of a fighter. Gerry Cooney would've killed him and would have lived up to the great white hope. .
