The majority of 'hang over' symptoms are caused by two things- alcohol poisoning and dehydration. Alcohol is a poison; it kills cells in our bodies and interferes with the neuro-transmitters in our brains. That is what causes the 'drunken' feelings. When you get drunk, you are actually paralyzing parts of the brain and nervous system. The reason alcohol works so well is that our bodies confuse alcohol molecules with sugar molecules (they are very similar). Alcohol is readily absorbed and quickly routed to the brain, because our bodies think it is sugar, a source of quick energy and a mental stimulant of sorts. In addition to doping up the brain and body, alcohol is a natural diuretic, in other words, it flushes water from our bodies.
The best way to combat the feelings of being hung over is to drink extra water before, during, and after you drink alcohol. Also, get extra potassium and B vitamins in your body; these are also flushed out with the water.
I would suggest drinking a large glass of water prior to drinking alcohol, then try to make each alcoholic beverage with an equal amount of water. Also, after you have stopped drinking, try to drink another 2-4 glasses of water prior to going to bed (but be careful about this, if you are too highly intoxicated it could lead to wetting the bed!). When you first wake up after a night of drinking, make sure to drink twice as much water as normal. So, you should take in an extra 4-7 glasses of water over the next 24 hours. Also, eat some bananas and drink PowerAde. These will replenish the minerals and vitamins depleted by the alcohol. If you don’t like bananas, look for something else with decent amounts of Potassium. As for the Powerade, it also has a small amount of potassium, and also sodium (which is also depleted) and some B vitamins. Avoid Gatorade and some other 'Sports' drinks, as they are nothing more than flavored sugar water. Check the label to find the sport drinks that have vitamins and minerals in them.
'Hair of the Dog', or drinking more the next day, is only a temporary solution. All it does is delay the hung over feelings by doping you up again.
Remember, the key to combating hang overs is replacing the lost water and nutrients. If the nausea is bad, or you are sore/hurting, drink something like 7-Up and take something for the pain, preferably buffered aspirin or Tylenol (the buffering coats your stomach so the medicine is not ask upsetting).

Drink lots of water, and tomato soup (in any form)
Thats the best remedy.
Water because alcohol drains and dehydrates your body of water, thats why your head is pounding.
Tomato juice/soup rejuvinates your body.. although not completely, but it helps a great deal.
Drinking another drink to get the feeling to go away - does not usually help. Its an hour's consolation for more of the same feeling yet to come.
Good Luck

Ginger in whatever form you can get it. Capsules work best because you don't taste them but you can also use crushed ginger (for cooking) or ginger ale. Also, lots of sips of water, no gulping big drinks. Next time take two tylenol before you go to bed.

Believe it or not,the queasy feeling is dehydration.Sure,"hair of the dog" can delay the reaction,so do you want to wait for Monday?Drink some gatoraid,or some other sports drink to replace the electrolytes you pee'd or puked out,and follow it it with good old H2O.

Try something extremely spicy. Some doritos or cheetos with a LOT of hot sauce could work.
