First of all the Bible is a story...I'm catholic and I know that! It is a book of opinions and story's I should say. The story of Adam and Eve was is kind of like a children's story in the sense that it was written to explain the coming of man kind. I believe that people should read the Bible COVER TO COVER so that they understand this, however, people seem to be stuck in the habit of reading verses and not getting the before and after of that verse/book. Do you even think there is a Satan? We don't really even know if there is a god. It is in faith that we believe that...but not in truly knowing. I don't think that God necessarily "gives" us free will. I think that people are supposed to know in their gut what is right and wrong. No one...unless they are seriously crazy...murders someone and "does'nt think it was wrong". That is, as my mother would say, "Phony Bologna." lol Whether you choose to do right or choose to do wrong is not a god givin free will...it is a decision. You already know what decisions to make....so make those. Idolizing an evil "character" is definitely NOT the right thing to do. :)

Of course we have free will as did Adam and Eve when they tasted the "fruit". If they were confined by the law of God they would not have been able to do that.

Also, I think the fruit Satan convinced us to eat made us know the difference between good and evil. Basically, Satan gave us morals while God was trying to keep us from them according to that. So when people say Christianity is the only thing keeping morals around, not really, Satan is, or at least was.

the bible does not say it was a apple it says it was fruit if you dont have Jesus sprit in you than you will do what yu want to I believe that it all depends on the level of love you have for the Lord that will determine your freewill it was sin the devil cant make you do anything he can only tempt you. Like he did Jesus but Jesus passed. Thank you Lord!!!!!!!!!! the bible says that the first adam was living soul and the second adam was quicking soul who came from God. NO WE SHOULD NOT WORSHIP SATAN

Answering any question about God is tricky because many people are deeply seeded in their religious beliefs, and that is quite respectable (as long as it does not harm others). But did God give us free will, granted you believe in God? The answer is no. Many people regard God as omnipotent, omnipresent, etc. So, if God is all of these things, then it (let's say God has no gender) ultimately knows what you are going to do. Since God created you, and since it is omnipotent, it will know what you will do throughout your life and every choice you have ever, or will ever, make. Thus, God has theoretically set a plan for you. Because it knows what choices you will make, and since there is no way to stop him from knowing what choices you make (remember, he is omnipotent), then "free will" could never have been given by God.

God gave us free will bc He didn't want to create robots/programmed beings. Satan should never ever be worshiped. A & E were stupid to follow Satan.

God really did give us free will. Adam & Eve made the choice the pick the forbidden fruit. God placed the tree there so they could make their choice.
You still do have your choice...worship Satan if you like. I choose to worship neither.

Adam and Eve were told by God not to eat from a particular tree. But Satan tempted them by telling them that by eating from this tree they will be immortal and have everlasting kingdom. So they fell in the trap and ate from the forbidden tree.
God removed Adam and Eve from heaven and sent them down to Earth. They repented to God and He forgave them.
This is a good lesson for all of us humans, that we will be tempted by Satan and we already know, from God’s scriptures, “the forbidden tree”, what we are not supposed to do in this life.
We have the free will to sin and we have the free will to obey God and do what is right; each one of us bears the consequences of his/her decision.

Yeah but he already knows what we will chose as our free will ahead of time from what you will buy on monday morning at the grocery store at 10:30 am to whom we you marry....So although he knows, its still part of our free will. And if Adam and Eve were defined as stupid, then them following Satan's suggestion, means it was not within their free will.

Yes; it's rather clever of God that Satan fell right into His trap by opening the way for man to learn, personally, for himself, right from wrong and the countless other things he is learning by trying to stand on his own 2 feet here now; isn't it??
I mean, Satan fell right into His arms!!!
That's why we say that God does indeed know all.
Unbeknowns to Satan, he is STILL falling into God's plan and playing into His hands, even in these Last Days now; for nowadays, with 'loosening up' of laws, people genuinely have opportunity to choose for themselves whether they choose right or wrong!
I mean, 50 years ago it was illegal, even for regular couples to live together or have children out of wedlock.
Gayism was a very strict 'No, no!!"
Drugs weren't available and super communications and powerful 'right of choice' lobbies now allow people to do and organize almost what they'd like!!
Bombs are becoming available to any general public member who really wants one!
All of this may appear on the surface as if Satan is winning the day and is tricking or outdoing God; but little does he realize that with final Judgment and the Lord's imminent return so near, Satan is actually playing right into God's hands, because God wants to have 'Just cause' for cleansing the earth of its wicked by Fire just before His Son's return - which is now getting very close indeed!!!
WHY??!! you say?
Because God wants Judgment to be REAL.
In other words, He wants us to genuinely use our true FREEDOM OF CHOICE so that His judgment will be just when He makes it.
In strict sense, He cannot do that while everybody is legislated or even socially compelled to obey His commandments; or if technology is insufficient for people to do what they will.
SO, IN ESSENCE, WITH SUCH FREEDOM IN MEN'S HANDS NOW, WE ALL HAVE A PRETTY TERRIBLE, ROUGH TIME AHEAD!!
DON'T WE?
... JUST AS THE SCRIPTURES PREDICTED OF THE LAST DAYS.
SO FAR, WE ARE ONLY JUST GETTING STARTED!!!!
