Ok, the following will assist in weight gain, you need to have 6 meals a day and increase fruit intake & dairy. I don't know what foods you like or can eat but modify, you'll get the idea. Make sure all dairy is full fat not skim.
Breakfast 8am - 2 pieces soy & linseed toast w butter & peanut butter & 1 tub of yoghurt w 5 walnuts & glass of orange juice
Snack 10.30am - banana smoothie w honey
Lunch 1pm - soy & linseed sandwhich w 2 eggs/50g meat & salad & swiss cheese
Snack 3.30pm - nut type bar w seaseme seeds, honey & nuts
Dinner 6pm - 1 cup pasta/rice/potatoes side with 200g meat
Snack 8pm - 2 scoops of ice cream
Good luck!

get married, your zest for life will be over and you will put on weight rather quickly. you will have to work to keep it off. first comes the belly, then your face will puff out , then pretty soon , you will look like every other middle aged guy, if you have a face that has any definition, say bye to that. it will become round and look like a basketball. your cheeks will droop and when you get older, and your appetite slows down, you will lose all that fat on your face and you will have defined folds of skin all over your face. (that's if you don't die of a heart attack first.) so with all this in mind, don't get in too big a hurry to put on weight, the longer you can keep it off, the healthier you will be in the long run. I was skinny as hell at your age, but I still managed to find a wife , have kids, and all the booshyt that goes with it, so don't worry so much about how you look, there is someone out there with a bigger complex than yours that will be glad to have you. and no I'm not skinny any more, not fat either, going hungry now is good practice for you for later in life.

Peoples Choice Ideal Weight: 138 lbs. This shows the average weight that other people of your Age, Height, Weight and Gender would describe as their ideal weight.
However, since you are 17 by medical standards you are still a child. Which means that Medical evidence suggests that all body weights within this range -121 lbs-are reasonably equally healthy (for people of your height). Outside this range, health risks may occur.

if yur a girl.. thats a great weight!! if yur a guy heres some tips
most guys dont "fill out" till they're about 20-22 my bro was 6'0 and like 140 he looked anorexic.. but now he looks great.. it may just take time
WEIGHT lifting.....
add protein to your diet 1gm protein for every pound of body weight is the usual ratio... dont use more youll just get constipated ha ha..
If you are NOT hungry a lot just drink the pritein smoothies... my fave:
1 Scoop Vanilla 'Whey Gourmet"
2 c 1% milk
1/2 banana
handfull berries
1 scoop vanilla ice cream
its very healthy and LOADED with nutrients!
do NOT follow that guys inst of drinking pop and exercising less. you will just rott your insides and gain fat and not muscle.. then you'll be the tall fat kid and not the nice ripped kid he he
go to a gym and talk to a personal trainer get him/her to set you up with a program.. there is no age limit or when you are allowed to start pounding weights (little hurcules for example)
stay strong! you may just have to "grow into yourself"

Some people are just naturally skinny, but if you really want to gain weight & you're not hungry most of the time, drink soda instead of water, & don't excersize as much, it might sound unhealthy but that's a way to gain weight, also Jamba Juice, or frappaccinos are just as fattening as a whole meal, so if you get thirsty there's a choice!

Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

Eat more protein after each resistance training session and before you go to bed at night. You should have one gram of protein per each pound of lean muscle each day. Weight goes on a lot quicker with when you add muscle but your metalbolism will increase so add calories too!

Better check with a Dr on how to safely gain weight. You don't want to get into bad eating habits.

You will eventually fill out weight wise.
Notice older guys. They were once skinny.
Eat healthy, protien, vegtables, fruit and dairy.
Cut out the sugar and artifical colors
You can also lift weights to build muscle and bulk. You will need extra protien for this.
