Baking soda and peroxide. At first it will smell worse than it ever did, but once it drys and your vaccum up the baking soda the smell will be gone. At least from carpet. It is also the best at getting skunk smell off of a dog. DO NOT GET INTO EYES!

I would definitely recommend the Bissell Spot Lifter. It's about 20 bucks for the machine and then maybe a little around 10 for a decent sized bottle of cleaning solution. This works on carpets, car seats, beds, furniture. Just by the solution for pet odors. For hard wood floors, I use anything from 409 all purpose to **** and span....This eliminates just about every odor. I bought a covered litter box for my cat, with a little ventilation grate on the lid. I just take a piece of sponge or cloth and spray that with air freshener and it kills the smell of ammonia and even the smell of the litter. I bought the litter box at a Dollar Store (Dollar General, Family Dollar type) for under 10 bucks, and air freshener in the can is about a dollar.

Dogs are horrible animals that stink and bark. I am suing my neihbors because of their dog trying to bite me. Pets should be on chains. Not just roaming in the back yard even if it is fenced.
