How do you put pictures on a memory chip to a computer?

Sorry I'm not much of a tech master, but i don't have a digital camera right now, all i have is the memory chip, is there a way to put the pictures on my memory chip to the computer without the aid of a digital camera?

If you already have some pictures on your computer, you can get a memory card reader/writer and save the picture files out to the card just like saving to your hard drive (your memory card shows as a different drive letter instead of C).

Some newer computers have card readers already installed. Otherwise you can buy one for about $30 or less.

You can put any files on the memory card, not just pictures.

However, the pics you save on the card are not organized in a way that a camera could see them. So you will not be able to see your saved pics on someone else's camera.
