Can I read up close for long periods of time without hurting my vision while my glasses (nearsighted) are on??

I have -2.75 prescription nearsighted glasses.

I think u should get better reading glasses to read from a good distance. If u r young, u may damage ur vision progressively by straining ur eye muscles,by reading from a close distance.
