The Da Vinci Code is a work of fiction, which...(checking my Mirriam-Webster)...is "an invented story." It's a great book, an exciting, page-turning read, but it is made-up. The author himself makes no claims to being an authentic, historically accurate summation of the history of the Christian Church. Why, then, should anyone else?
As to the first claim you mention, the duality of Christ (the belief that Jesus was both fully divine and fully human at the same time) is an important article of faith and orthodoxy that has been settled among all mainstream Christian sects for 1700 years now (see the Council of Nicaea, AD 325, for details).
What this whole ordeal over the book reveals to me is the fact that many sincere, believing Christians are woefully uneducated on matters of church history and doctrine. Believers need to stop twiddling their thumbs while hoping this crisis of faith passes and start educating themselves about the history of the Christian Church so that when someone makes a half-baked argument based on a fictional novel, they can point them clearly and quickly down the correct line of reasoning.

First of all dismantling the Da Vinci Code is quite simple. People seem to forget that The Da Vinci Code was the FICTIONAL work of a man called Dan Brown. Whether the person of interest depicted in the "Last Super" was a woman or not...who knows. He/she does look feminine. Of course Leonardo Da Vinci is no longer around to explain his famous work of art. So...basically...people could surmise whatever they wanted. Could it be that "per chance" Dan Browns fictional work is the coincidental truth? I doubt it. In all reality the hype of the Da Vinci code just goes to show how naive the average person is. For example: Just because it is a book and just because it is made into a film people perceive it as truth, however, they forget what section of the book store (fictional) they picked the book up in and the credits to a movie in which there is always an explanation of its fictional nature. So in conclusion...people who believe in the Da Vinci code to begin with seriously need to, uhh, work on another conspiracy.

I don't think the church was created by Satan. I think those early churches were created by greedy, powerhungry men who took the word of the Lord and twisted it to extract money and power from the ppl.
Your belief system should reflect all you have experienced in life. Just because one person writes one thing doesn't mean you should believe it..particularly if it does not sit well with you and doesn't resonate the truth.
If you liked going to church b4 reading Da vinci Code, then go back to it and enjoy it again.

God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit....three but one....so Jesus is God....not a man for man is not perfect and Jesus was. Jesus was not married as far as I know but hey check it in the Word. Satan did not create anything he is a liar and a thief and he does not want us to believe in God.....the best way to learn the truth is to read the Bible and to ask God.....seek and you shall find, ask and you will be given knock and the door will be opened for you ....God bless <><

"Jesus" as you call Him, is actually Yeshua, which translates more to "Joshua".
Yeshua IS God because He Himself said so when He was asked if He is the Messiah. He answered, "I Am." He was crucified for it because only God is the Messiah, and calling Himself the Messiah was like saying that He was God. Note that He also used the very words He used when He told Moses that His name was "I Am".
In Isaiah 43, God says that only He is the Savior. Before Him, there is none, nor is there any after Him. So, if only God is the Savior, who is the one who died on the cross for our sins? If is not God, then no one died for our sins because no man can save himself. Only God can save man. He said so Himself in the book of Isaiah.
Now, as for the catholic church, it is not for any man to say who will or will not go to heaven. However, we CAN judge our own actions in the process of trying to do what God has told us to do.
So what did He tell us to do? Let's start with the 10 commandments. He said to worship only Him. Bow before no other gods. He also said to not make any idols. Would it be right for us to bow and pray before anyone or anything else? This tells me not to pray to any saints or statues. Pray only to God.
Second, again, only God can save us. That also means that only God can declare our sins forgiven. That's why it was questioned when the Messiah told a number of people to "go. Your sins are forgiven." They asked, "Who is He to say that they are forgiven?" So with that, who is any other man to declare us forgiven, other than he who was offended, and God? Unless we directly offend them, no priest, or preacher, or anyone can declare us free from the wages of sin. Only God can.
With that said, what takes place every Saturday and Sunday in a catholic church? People go to the priests and ask for forgiveness. People bow down and worship saints and statues.
Right or wrong, only God can declare it so. But for me personally, this is why I left the Catholic church. God spoke to my heart, and I realized what I was doing was wrong.

It was a fiction book...nothing but beach reading...only 20%...The whole Jesus's living bloodline thing was a hoax...If Jesus would have been married, it would have been mentioned in historical books, also other than Bible...

It's only a book. A work of fiction. It really shouldn't bother you, certainly not if you are a catholic - just belive whatever it is you belive.
