I like the freedom of being single, where one can freely associate with as many potential girlfriends as one wants/can. Still, the goal is almost always to get a girlfriend and become "taken". I don't like the word "taken" though, it feels like it restricts freedom. Even though it's nice to know there's someone there for you, there always remains the urge to go back out into the unknown and become single again.

Better for whom? If someone enjoys playing the field and dating lots of different people, being single is the way to go.
If someone hopes to settle down and have a family life, then being taken is the right way to go.
There are more roads to take and different choices because we are all individuals who have different goals.

Just like Natasha Bedingfield says,''don't needa be on someone's arm to look good.'' If u r comfy w/ being single, don't feel pressured to get taken too quick. I say, wait until u find the right person.

Being taken is better because then you would not have any people trying to hit on you.

unless you are really satisfied with your relationship with your bf/gf, being single is way better. it's the chase and the whole flirting stuff that's fun... tho being single can get pretty damn boring as well, if it's more than 4 months... especially for a guy.

I think being single and then sometimes taken because if you are taking then noone will want to talk to you but if you are single then everybody gon' want you.

if you're single you can do anything you want And nobody can't control you.if you are taken theres a bunch of things you can't do or things that you have to check with your partner first.That's why I've been single four 4 years And loving it.

I will say taken. You always need someone to hold you. You're going to want someone to turn over to in the middle of the night. Someone to grow old with. Love is beautiful.

i would say taken because you need someone to share everything, laughs, ideas, dreams!! anything!! if youre single, you could be happy also because you dont have to worry about your partner getting mad but still, in time you'll feel lonely and would want someone to share what you feel!
