Nowadays technology is such that you can have lazer surgery done on both eyes and in minutes have improved vision. In most cases people are satisfied with the results. However, there are cases where some people may still need to wear glasses for distance or reading and then there is the worst case scenerio of an eye getting infected. Your doctor will explain all of the pros and cons.

Even with a successful operation, it is too new of a procedure to be certain that there is no long lasting side effects. For more than a few their night vision becomes impaired, and eye dryness could be a problem. Additionally, it is not a permanent solution for vision problems. As people age, their vision will naturally diminish, surgery or not. Is it really too much of an inconvenience to wear glasses or contact lenses? I suggest you really think it over, and not let the short-term success of a few individuals who had undergone the procedure influence your decision.

I am very happy with the results I had from Lasik surgery performed three years ago. I was frightened at first because for about a week afterward I saw halos around lights at night which led to some very dangerous driving conditions. I also wore reading glasses for the first two weeks. Now my vision is better than 20/20, and that was improved from -4.25/-4.75!!

My father had it done and he was very happy about it for the rest of his life n regrets to speak of. A man who works were I live had one eye done 3 weeks ago and is looking foreword to getting the other one done next year. If he could afford to do it now he said he would and he wouldn't think twice about it.
