I want to be in a sorority when I go to college. But I want to know what they are like. How do you get into them? Are they fun? What type oft things do you do when you are in one?

I'm a Pi Beta Phi, and i love being in a sorority. its a chance to meet new people, make friends party and juts have great times, also they are tons of ways to give back to the community and get involved as a whole. check out greek life at your college, its a big thing at my school, but it might not be as important at yours. you get into them by a process called formal recruitment, informally called rush. the governing body of all national sororites, (Panhellenic something,.. aka panhel for short) sets up the guide lines for this, basically meetings with the different houses on your campus with people getting cut every day, read up about. (greekchat.com isa great resouce)
once you get into your sorotiy, the fun begins, mixers formals and events are your social life and they are awesome! you can be as involved or uninvolved as you want. however why join if you aren't geing to be involved?
go through rush and see for yourself what sororities are about :)

no, but my cousin has. she enjoyed it, and made lots of new friends as well! you hold fundraisers, go to dances.
