Yes. It is commonly referred as foot and mouth disease. My daughter contracted it during a lengthy hospital stay. Although it is a disease usually contracted by swine, the virus is highly contagious. My daughter was afflicted with it, but the cause or how she got it was never determined. The malady was restricted to her mouth, to which she was administered gentian violet as a cure. Although there is no "official cure" something had to be done and the gentian violet was effective.

Yes. This is a disease that is usually manifested in children. It is a parasitic disease and is usually manifested by a small rash with papules located on the hands, feet, and around the mouth. This is caused by the increased amount of touching the mouth that children often do. These parasites are often 'caught' by playing in dirt, mud, or unclean areas. This is not an uncommon disease. See your healthcare provider.

It's called coxsackie virus. It gives you ulcers, that start as painful blisters in your mouth, going down all the digestive system, hands and feet. It's caused by a virus from the enterovirus. It can give high fever, chills and headaches. The treatment is symptomatic (ease the symptoms) cause it's a virus.
